Diatonic Theory and Harmony
In the Progressions segment of the DVD I integrate the various Chord
Groups covered in the DVD into a series of chord progressions played
across a number of key styles. I have always integrated progressions
into my teaching method to give students a musical example of how
to apply what they have learned. When the focus of the lesson is
as in this case chords types, the focus is more on the application
of the chords vs. learning a particular style. That said, it also
allows me to integrate some of the obvious styles that certain chord
groups lend themselves to. On the DVD I show you how the play the
chord progressions as well as give suggestions as to what to solo
using and why. Here I are several of the progressions with a brief
description of the progression and what you can use to solo over
the top. Each track features the incredible Atma Anur on
